Action for Happiness: Happiness Habits Course.

Join Pia Vassallo. a Positive Psychology coach and Paediatrician, Dr, John Torpiano, on the Happiness Habits course, brought to you by the international NGO, Action for Happiness

This course is perfect for anyone who wants to learn practical tools and habits to increase their happiness and wellbeing in their daily lives. Pia and John , are trained volunteers and will guide you through evidence-based practices that have been proven to promote positive emotions, build resilience, and foster meaningful connections with others.

Each week you will learn habits relating to one of six fundamental themes to our wellbeing: Gratitude, Self-care, Relationships, Resilience, Kindness and Meaning.

You will also receive special support from some of the leading experts in the world.

For example:

In week 2 (Self-care) you meet Dr Kristin Neff, Professor of Educational Psychology and an expert in Self-Compassion.

She will share ways to be kinder to ourselves and how to turn your inner critic into an inner coach.

In week 3 (Relationships) you meet Dr Robert Waldinger, Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

He conducted the longest-ever study of adult life and found that relationships are the most important predictor of lifelong happiness. You will learn simple techniques to build "social fitness" into your life.

In week 4 (Resilience) you meet Dr Tal Ben-Shahar, a positive psychology expert who taught the most popular course at Harvard University.

Tal will share skills to be resilient in tough times and ways to become "anti-fragile" by accepting emotions instead of pushing them away.

And that is not all - these are just three of the fifteen experts you will hear from over the six sessions.
